 I read one part that his first voyage took 2 with out succes from 1540 to 1542.

About Me:

 

Framcisco Vasquez de CoronadoHaded 8 children he was married to the daughter of the colonial treusure. he was sent because he was looking for the seven cities of gold. He sent 300 soldiors and 1000 indians but all of them died some of them run away . He lost his of governor. and to only 100 of his party stay alive but the others ones died.

Date of Birth, Well he was born in Salamanca spain in 1510 .                                                                      

Cause of Death: He died in 1554. he died because he was against Indians under his authority.

He was sent for Altough he failed in his quest for treasure to enrich the Spanish empire Francisco Vasuez de Coronado led one of the most remarkable european explorations of the North American interior.

 

     Children:

Accomplishments:

He searh the seven cities of Gold.

 

Obstacles faced:

 Coronado marched to Cibola. He found the Grand Cannyon and Rio Grane valley, but no gold . Still dreaming of gold , Coronado listened to an Indian slave toto told of a land where boats with golden eagles sailed past trees hung with golden bells . To find this land . Coronado marched across the plains to what is now Kansas . Again he found found no Gold . Angry , Coronado had the Indian strangled before heading home. Coronado and his men returned in disgrace to New Spain in1542. Representatives of the the  Spanish king later Charged him with bad leadership of the expedition and treting the indians Cruelly.Only Spanish Missionaries considered Coronados expedition succeful . It gave them a chance to convert indians in the South western part of North American to Christianity . and to it says that Coronado arrived back in Mexico Cityin June 1542. Only 100 of his party returned Many had died . others run away .

Friends:The one of them that travel with Francisco was Antonio Mendoza.Coronado sent 300 soldiors and about 1000 Indians to help him to find the gold.
